AIR Ambulance, paramedics and coastguard crews were called to Yaverland this afternoon (Sunday) after a woman suffered a suspected heart attack.
Shortly after 4pm, two paramedics, the air ambulance and Coastguard Rescue arrived at the beach on the outskirts of Sandown.
An eye-witness, who was close to the incident, said: "Members of the general public were carrying out CPR on a woman who had suffered a suspected heart attack.
"The paramedics arrived approximately 20 minutes later to assist her."
UPDATE 6.30pm: The woman who suffered the heart attack has sadly been pronounced dead at the scene.
