FOLLOWING our story about the forthcoming auction of the former Southern Vectis bus terminal in Ventnor, the County Press has received this lovely image from local author and historian, Alan Stroud.
He said: "Seeing your article about the disposal of the Southern Vectis garage and terminal at Ventnor, I wondered if you would be interested in the attached photo.
"It was taken in the mid-1970s by Southern Vectis staff member, Reg Davies, a name that will be known to many older readers.
"Reg was an unofficial Southern Vectis archivist and took many hundreds of photos of Southern Vectis buses, establishments etc."
Sadly the bus terminal in Pier Street has not been used for some years and is now up for sale at Clive Emson's forthcoming online property auction - for which bidding is now open - with a guide price of £480,000 to £520,000.

The terminal has planning consent to be demolished and replaced with a development consisting of two retails units, plus flats and car parking spaces.
