A TEENAGE girl accused of attempting to murder her grandmother by attacking her with two guitars was due to appear in court today (Monday).

At Portsmouth Crown Court this morning, the 14 year old had her case adjourned.

She will next appear at the Isle of Wight Crown Court on May 24.

The alleged attack took place in Shanklin on February 19.

The alleged weapons used in the attack were a bass guitar and an electric guitar.

The teenager — who cannot be named for legal reasons — did not attend court and did not enter a plea to the charge.

The girl was remanded in custody.
