AN ISLE of Wight man accused of a serious assault last month — which had left a man fighting for his life — will stand trial.
Felix Hetherington, of St Edmunds Walk, Wootton, denied causing grievous bodily harm with intent during the early hours of February 21, when he appeared at the Isle of Wight Crown Court today (Monday).
Isle of Wight police were called to Caesar's Road in Newport following a report of an assault on a man, aged 49, who was rushed to St Mary's Hospital, Newport, unconscious, with serious injuries.
The 26 year old has been bailed to reappear for trial at the Isle of Wight Crown Court on December 13.
