I guess many of us never really check our Isle of Wight Council tax bill, let alone make a close comparison between this year's demand and the previous year.

I calculated the adult social care component, that increases by three per cent plus an extra 1.99 per cent, should been around £10, but was in fact showed an increase in excess of £69.

Or put another way, the increase slightly in excess of 33 per cent on my previous year's social care bill.

It might be worth Islanders taking a closer look at their 2021-2022 council tax bills and making a comparison with last year.
