ISLE of Wight residents aged 42 and over are being invited to book their Covid-19 vaccine today (Wednesday).

On Monday (April 26), around half a million 44-year-olds across the UK received a text inviting them to get their jab through the national booking service, NHS England said.

With a high number of people aged 45 to 49 having now been vaccinated, people aged 42 and 43 are now being invited to book their Covid-19 vaccine.

You will receive your invite by text. Text invitations appear as an alert from ‘NHSvaccine’. They include a web link to the NHS website to reserve an appointment.

The move to the next age group comes alongside the latest figures showing more than two thirds of people aged 45 to 49 have been vaccinated.

If you're over 42 and would like to book your vaccine, you can do so by calling 119 or by booking online.
