THREE new cases of coronavirus have been added to the Isle of Wight's overall case number today (Wednesday).

It takes the number of cases this week (since Monday) to seven.

There have now been 6,798 cases of Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The Island's rolling average of cases per 100,000 people, in the seven days to April 23, has dropped from 13.4 to 12.

Current figures do not include positive results from fast-result lateral flow tests, if they were not subsequently confirmed by a PCR test.
