THE Isle of Wight has now recorded 6,800 positive coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

Two new cases have been added to the Isle of Wight's overall total today (Thursday).

It takes the number of cases this week (since Monday) to nine.

The Island's rolling average of cases per 100,000 people, in the seven days to April 23, has risen slightly from 12 to 12.7.

Current figures do not include positive results from fast-result lateral flow tests, if they were not subsequently confirmed by a PCR test.
