THE Isle of Wight has recorded further Covid cases in the latest Government update today (Tuesday).

Two new cases have been announced today, one was announced yesterday and 14 last week.

There have now been 6,809 positive coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The Island's rolling average of cases per 100,000 people, in the seven days to April 28, now stands at 12. Yesterday it was 9.2.

Current figures do not include positive results from fast-result lateral flow tests, if they were not subsequently confirmed by a PCR test.
