Seats on the Isle of Wight Council, as well as those on town and parish councils, are up for grabs today (Thursday).

Polling stations are open for a day of local elections, from 7am until 10pm.

Tomorrow, Isle of Wight Council votes will be counted, while town and parish seats will be revealed on Saturday.

The Isle of Wight County Press will be reporting on both.

To vote in person today, you will need to be registered, but you do not need to take your polling card.

Postal votes need to have been received by County Hall by 10pm.
