THE Isle of Wight has recorded further Covid cases in the latest Government update today (Friday).

Two new cases have been announced today, taking the week's total to 11 since Monday, with 14 having been recorded last week.

There have now been 6,817 positive coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The Island's rolling average of cases per 100,000 people, in the seven days to May 1, has dropped from 9.9 yesterday (Thursday) to 9.2 today.

Current figures do not include positive results from fast-result lateral flow tests, if they were not subsequently confirmed by a PCR test.
