From Celia Vosper, Freshwater:

What a wonderful bank holiday it was for the Island—— sunshine , visitors and happy smiling faces after such a long and arduous winter!

Unfortunately, it was marred as usual by several accidents on our busy roads, mostly caused by the unfamiliar diversity of country lanes etc.

Many moons ago, when disembarking from our ferries, vehicle drivers were met with large warning signs reading ‘Island roads are different’.

A great and simple idea.

Please bring them back someone, maybe we could even have a children’s competition to create the most striking one.
