From Susan Weaver, Newport:

Your story, ‘Emergency Dept hits NHS targets’ (CP 28-05-21) is hardly surprising given every which way has been used to keep patients out of hospitals.

And as for the coming watchdog inspection, with hospitals empty of patients I’m guessing every NHS target under the sun is being met in every hospital across the country.

Never mind ‘good’, I’d be seriously worried if St Mary’s isn’t branded excellent!

Perhaps the real picture ought be the the huge number of patients on NHS waiting lists currently denied timely treatment?
