GET set for the final day of the Isle of Wight festival of Running in the West Wight on Sunday.
The festival, organised by the West Wight Sports and Community Centre, Freshwater, will welcome hundreds of competitors for a series of races — whatever the age group.
A junior fun run will kick-off a trio of back-to-back events, all starting at the sports centre.
Children aged 15 and under will set off on the 1.5km run at 10am.
At 11am, the gruelling Needles Half Marathon gets under way.
On one of the toughest and most scenic half marathons in the country, the 13.1-mile route will take runners over downs and heathland, past historic monuments, with of course a glimpse of the Island's most iconic landmark — The Needles.
Finally, to wrap up this year's running festival, is the traditional Freshwater 5k — perfect for anyone who has completed a Couch to 5K programme — which takes runners through the beautiful Freshwater countryside, with views across the rest of the West Wight, before finishing back at the sports centre.
The event starts at noon.
