ONLY 12 Covid patients have occupied beds at St Mary's Hospital over the past two months.

The number of Covid patients in the Isle of Wight's hospital, since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, to April 6, 2021, was 733.

The number of Covid patients on May 30 — the most recent data — is 745.

While there have been 171 Covid cases in the community since April 6, only 12 of those have been poorly enough to require hospital treatment.

The hospital bed data is released weekly by the government.

In the latest data, it shows no admissions to St Mary's, and no current Covid patients on the wards.

Since the start of the pandemic, the Isle of Wight has had 6,868 cases of Covid-19.
