It is a new sensory and interactive online exhibition, by Google Arts and Culture.

Celebrating gardens around the UK, the site includes over 150 curated online exhibitions and an enormous archive of over 4,000 photos, videos and tours.

Queen Victoria's former summer home and 'Britain's hottest garden' both feature.

Ventnor Botanic Garden said it hopes the new resource will help spread the message of climate change and sustainability.

It is, on average over the year, 5 degrees hotter mainland Britain and that means gardeners there get to grow, study, and research plants that cannot be grown outdoors elsewhere in the country.

Isle of Wight County Press: Ventnor Botanic Garden appears among coastal gardens on the site and is dubbed 'Britain's Hottest.'

John Curtis, director of Ventnor Botanic said he was grateful for the chance to reach a wider audience.

Amit Sood, director of Google Arts and Culture said “Everyone around the world can find joy in exploring a garden.

"Through this program we wanted to celebrate this as well as inspire audiences to seek out new gardening experiences."
