THE Isle of Wight Symphony Orchestra, under its conductor Jonathan Butcher, will return to live music tomorrow afternoon (Saturday).

The orchestra will perform a summer family concert at the Island Steam Railway, Havenstreet from 3pm.

The concert will include classical favourites such as The Light Cavalry Overture, along with film and TV themes ranging from Harry Potter to Hetty Wainthropp Investigates and Blue Peter.

Appropriately, there will be train-related music such as Coronation Scot and Puffing Billy.

The first half will conclude with family favourite Tubby the Tuba – which the irrepressible Melvyn Hayes will narrate.

The second half will conclude with a tribute to The Last Night of the Proms, featuring Land of Hope and Glory, Jerusalem and Rule Britannia.

Visitors are asked to bring their own seating and Union Jack flags.

A bar and refreshments will be available, with full ticket details online at iwsteamrailway.co.uk/book-tickets/
