A SUMMER pantomime? Oh yes it is!

After the sell-out success of Full Circle, Bembridge Little Theatre Club is preparing for its next production, a summer panto entitled A Bard in the Hand.

William Shakespeare is lodging with Dame Barnet, a wigmaker. But he is stony broke, has no ideas for a new play….and there is a play thief on the loose.

Can his old friend Kit Marlowe (007) help?

Add in a pair of star-crossed lovers, a would-be stand-up comedian and a man-eating next-door neighbour and you have a recipe for lots of bard-related fun.

The group is proud to present the world premiere of A Bard in the Hand at Bembridge Village Hall on August 12, 13 and 14.

If you are an admirer of the bard, try to count the Shakespeare references.

If you love panto, look out for the traditional dame, hero, and a villain to boo and hiss.

If you are looking for an evening of fun and relaxation after a difficult 18 months, go and enjoy the laughter and entertainment.

Tickets are £8, available from 07841 950261, Splash in Ryde or Co-op in Bembridge.
