TWO men have been named by police after being charged in relation to a rooftop incident in Ventnor.

Nino Bear Cavanagh, 28, of Kestrel Way, Carisbrooke, and Lewis Morera-Morgan, 21 years, of Trinity Road, Ventnor, have both been remanded in custody and charged with affray, criminal damage, threats to kill, burglary, and causing grievous bodily harm in relation to two investigations.

Officers attended Lowtherville Road in Ventnor shortly before 4.15pm on July 29 in response to a public order incident which involved two men on a roof.

In a separate incident, officers have been investigating a burglary which took place in the early hours of the morning on Sunday, June 20, at Albert Street in Ventnor.

It’s alleged that during this incident, a man in the address was assaulted before items including a mobile phone and wallet were stolen.

Both men will appear in court, with Mr Cavanagh due at Newport Crown Court on September 7 and a date to be set for Mr Morera-Morgan.
