EMERGENCY services have been called to Middle Road this afternoon (Tuesday) following a three-vehicle crash on the outskirts of Newport.
Eye-witnesses spotted both an ambulance and police car racing to the scene with sirens on at around 4.55pm.
Traffic is very slow on Forest Road, in the Betty Haunt Lane area.
Drivers are being asked to turn back at the Blacksmiths Arms, on Calbourne Road.
Southern Vectis said: "We have been advised that due to an RTI, Calbourne Road has been closed near to Betty Haunt Lane.
"As a result, routes 7 and 27 will divert away from the area by using Elm Lane, Forest Road and Gunville."
