Isle of Wight police are appealing for a key witness to an incident on Ocean View Road in Ventnor.

It involved two vehicles and happened at around 4.35pm, on July 28.

It was reported that a Peugeot was forced off the road by another vehicle – described as a Nissan.

Damage was subsequently caused to the Peugeot’s windscreen.

Hampshire Constabulary says the witness is believed to have handed the Peugeot driver a slip of paper that contained details of the Nissan.

The force wants to identify the man, because he witnessed what happened.

A 28-year-old man from Ventnor, arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, has been bailed until 25 August.
