A TEMPORARY Post Office service is coming to Wootton Bridge from tomorrow (Wednesday) — just one morning a week.
A temporary hosted outreach service will be provided by the Godshill postmaster, restoring the service to the village.
A spokesperson from the Post Office said: "The postmaster from Godshill Post Office has agreed to offer a temporary hosted
outreach service whilst we continue to seek a permanent solution."
It will be operated from the Parish Council Office at 5 Joannes Walk, Brannon Way, every Wednesday morning from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
A wide range of Post Office products and services will be available.
Wootton Bridge Post Office closed in November 2020 following the resignation of the postmaster and the withdrawal of the premises for Post Office use.
The new location is approximately 450m away from the closed High Street branch.
Graham Brander, Post Office network provision lead, said: “We are delighted to be restoring Post Office services to Wootton Bridge as we know how important a Post Office is to a community.
"We thank the postmaster for Godshill for providing this service.”
