THE number of patients with Covid-19 being treated at St Mary's Hospital has fallen, according to the latest government figures.
Data correct on Tuesday, November 23, and published yesterday (Thursday) shows 17 people occupying a bed at the Newport hospital.
Of those in hospital, five are currently being treated in a specialist ventilation bed, unchanged from last week.
Three people have died on the Isle of Wight after getting Covid-19, data on Tuesday revealed.
One Islander died at home, in the week to October 29 — the thirteenth death in a private home since the start of the pandemic.
A further two people died at St Mary's Hospital in Newport.
