MORE people have died in hospital on the Isle of Wight after contracting Covid-19.
The latest government data shows two new deaths at St Mary's Hospital.
It means 199 people have now died at the Newport hospital, having contracted the virus, since start of the pandemic.
One death was recorded on December 3 — the other on December 6.
Three Covid-related deaths have been recorded on the Island in December.
The Isle of Wight is still free of Omicron Covid cases, despite it being close to Portsmouth and Southampton, where cases have been confirmed.
Walk-in first, second and booster Covid jabs are available at Westridge Centre this Saturday.
You can pop in to the Ryde clinic any time between 9am and 3pm, and the jabs are available to anyone living on the Island.
