Emergency response to large vehicle fire in Sandown
EMERGENCY services have been at the scene of a vehicle fire in Sandown this afternoon (Sunday).
The fire happened on College Close near Avenue Road.
A flat bed truck was well alight and the car on the back has also been gutted by fire.
Fire crews from Sandown and Shanklin were in attendance.
Thick, black smoke could be seen over Sandown, and it is advised, that if you lived in the area, to keep all doors and windows closed.
The fire is now out.
