THE Isle of Wight rolling rate has dropped sharply in the latest Covid-19 government data released today (Sunday).

Yesterday, the Covid rolling rate for the Island stood at 822.2 per 100,000 people, with today's figure at 729.5.

There have been 81 confirmed cases of Covid on the Island today, following on from 111 yesterday.

The Isle of Wight will hit 25,000 confirmed Covid cases in the coming week, with the cumulative case total since the pandemic began standing at 24,778.

The UK national rolling rate is 1,240.1

NHS data released today confirms that there are 22 patients at St Marys Hospital with Covid-19, with two requiring the use of ventilation beds.
