MORE than 150 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed on the Isle of Wight, according to the latest government data.
Public Health England figures released today (Wednesday) show 168 new cases.
Yesterday, 127 new cases were recorded, and 114 the day before.
The Isle of Wight total, since the start of the pandemic, now stands at 25,187.
The Island's rolling rate, per 100,000 people, has also changed.
Always five days behind, in the seven days to January 14, it was 609.3.
Yesterday, in the seven days to January 13, that figure stood at 630.4.
The Prime Minister has announced facemasks and Covid passports will be no longer be required from January 27, with just self-isolation rules remaining.
He announced the change to Covid regulations in England after examining the latest Covid-19 data, alongside his cabinet.
