FURTHER cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed on the Isle of Wight, according to the latest government data.
Public Health England figures released today (Friday) show 120 new cases.
Yesterday, 158 cases were confirmed.
The latest figure takes the Isle of Wight total, since the start of the pandemic, to 25,465.
The Island's rolling rate has also risen, albeit marginally.
Always five days behind, in the seven days to January 16, it was 603.7.
Yesterday, in the seven days to January 15, that figure stood at 594.5, and was 609.3 the day before.
The latest Isle of Wight NHS data shows 24 patients at St Mary’s Hospital with Covid-19, with three in specialist ventilation beds.
Yesterday (Thursday), a new Covid-related death was confirmed at the hospital.
