FURTHER cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed on the Isle of Wight, according to the latest government data.

Public Health England figures released today (Sunday) show 100 new cases.

Yesterday, 154 new cases were recorded, and 152 the day before.

The latest figure takes the Isle of Wight total, since the start of the pandemic, to 26,740.

The Island's rolling rate per 100,000 people has also changed.

Always five days behind, in the seven days to January 25, it was 669.

Yesterday, in the seven days to January 24, it was 647.2.

The UK rate, meanwhile, was 647.2, with 62,399 new cases confirmed.
