THE Covid rolling rate on the Isle of Wight is currently higher than the UK average.

The rate, which is five days behind the daily data so shows cases up to and including February 2, is currently 905.2 on the Isle of Wight.

The UK rate has fallen to 893, from yesterday's 923.2.

Today's daily data shows a further 166 people have been confirmed with Covid-19. Yesterday there were 105 people confirmed with the virus.

These cases aren't yet reflected in the rolling rate.

Children age ten to 14 have a significantly higher rate of infection than any other age range on the Island, at 3,030.7 per 100,000 people.

Five to nine year olds are the next most affected group, with a rolling rate of 1,714.6.

Least affected are those age 70 to 74 years, with a rolling rate of 288.8.
