AN ISLE of Wight school is asking some year groups to work remotely this week, due to continuing issues with staff absences.
The Bay CE Secondary School, off The Fairway, says rising Covid numbers has led to a shortage of teaching staff.
As a consequence, this week, the following year groups will be on remote learning.

In a letter to parents and guardians, headteacher Emma Bowden said: "We had hoped no more staff would have tested positive, and that we had given ourselves enough of a break to stop the transmission.
"However, we have completed a staffing audit this morning and we are still struggling to staff every year group, and that is without the sickness bug or any unknown absences later this week."
"Any key worker, vulnerable or EHCP students can come into school if need be.
"Please let your child’s year manager know so we can arrange a suitable quiet space for them to learn.
"All students are expected to log onto Google Classroom to register their attendance and complete their on-line learning, which will be set by their class teachers.
"We appreciate your support during these difficult times."
