How much gas and oil does the UK actually get from Russia?

Three per cent and five per cent respectively. Not very much in the grand scheme of things.

So why are we waiting a year before ceasing to buy any more Russian gas or oil, particularly as the revenue Russia receives from these purchases is actively fuelling Putin’s war machine?

Perhaps our government, Boriski, and City traders are all hoping the conflict in Ukraine will have blown over in a year’s time, and Londongrad can recommence being the ‘world-leading’ centre for laundering Russia’s dirty money.
