BIG names in cycling and cuisine are enjoying the delights of the Isle of Wight this weekend.

Sir Bradley Wiggins and Johan Museeuw are lead cyclists taking part in the luxury LeBlanq event, where guests will be treated to food conjured up by celebrity chef Angela Hartnett.

Participants are based at The Royal Hotel in Ventnor and crew are staying at the Eversley Hotel in Ventnor.

Hotel co-owner Karen Stritton was delighted to hop on legendary Tour De France cyclist Museeuw's bike and said he was "he was so lovely".

Sir Bradley recently told the County Press: "I remember being blown away by the stunning roads and views of the Island when I was part of the LeBlanq event last year and it's going to be great to come back next month for another weekend with Angela Hartnett and Johan Museeuw."

Locals told the County Press they had also spotted Sir Chris Hoy in Ventnor today.
