The board game cafe, which is found on St James' Street, has been searching for a new location.

Owners have searched for a location where they can seat more people, cook more food, blend more milkshakes and make sure there are even more games to be played.

Snacks and Ladders will move into the site currently held by Forget Me Not, three doors down the road after the art store announced it was closing after around 35 years.

The larger space will mean the board game cafe will no longer need to advise visitors to book ahead, and more events and parties can take place.

Snacks and Ladders will also continue to grow its role-play gamers community and provide a venue for social gatherings.

The move will also mean the business will be looking to bring more team members on board, providing more Island jobs.

A spokesperson from Snacks and Ladders said: "This is a HUGE move, and we’re hoping to get some help from the amazing community that have supported us so far.

"We aren’t looking for financial support, we’ve managed to raise the funds for the move ourselves, but we do need help getting the new building ready!

"Can you help us paint walls? Maybe you can fit flooring? We’d love your help and will pay it forward when we reopen!"

In the meantime, the board game cafe will open with slightly altered opening hours until it makes the move, which is planned for mid-October.
