TEMPERATURES could hit 28 degrees on the Isle of Wight on Sunday and there's still no sign of rainfall.

A hosepipe ban comes in for the Isle of Wight from tomorrow, with no end date, as the weather continues along a hot and dry theme.

Local forecaster Jamie Russell from the Isle of Wight Met Service has issued his latest predictions as we get closer to the weekend.

Friday will be a fine, warm day with sunny spells and patchy cloud.

Temperature 22-24°C but closer to 20°C in the south and west of the Island.

Wind moderate north-northwest 12-21mph but becoming southwest for a time across western parts.

Saturday will be another fine and pleasantly warm day with sunny spells and patchy cloud.

Temperature 23-25°C but around 20°C on windward coasts.

Wind moderate north-northeast 8-16mph but with onshore coastal breezes developing.

Sunday promises to be another day of sunshine and patchy cloud. Feeling very warm or even hot in places away from windward coasts.

Temperature 26-28°C but around 21°C on windward coasts.

Wind light to moderate north 4-9mph but with onshore coastal breezes developing.
