DEADPOOL Rob and Friends Summer Fun Day returned on Sunday (August 14), with organisers describing the event as a huge success.
Held at Sandham Gardens, the event offered fun for all the family, including a variety of stalls, adult and children's fancy dress/cosplay competitions and live music.
The venue packed from start to finish, with organisers saying it could have gone on longer with the amount of people who turned up.
The Fun Day raised £1,000 for Breast Cancer Now, after a few last-minute donations.
Rob Munt, event organiser, said: “I'm honestly so incredibly proud of my team and all the stall holders.
"I can't thank everyone enough who came and donated and made it such a huge success, and to raise that kind of money is mind-blowing! Hopefully will help change some lives!”
“We are so overwhelmed with people’s generosity. Seeing so many people enjoying the day made all the months and months of planning worthwhile.
“Also, a huge thanks to Sandham Gardens for letting us host our event there.”
The County Press asked Rob about the possibility of a third event next summer, he replied: “I'm sure my arm could be twisted.”
