A MAIN road through Bonchurch village is to be closed for two weeks for footway resurfacing.
Bonchurch Shute, from The Pitts to Bonchurch Village Road, will be closed from Wednesday, August 31.
If the work is not completed by the Tour of Britain passes through Leeson Road on September 11, the road will reopen that day, then work will resume again afterwards.
The road will be closed for both day and night.
Residents will be allowed access to their homes.
The works may include footway reconstruction, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works.
