A CHICKEN found dumped at the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary has started a new life after an appeal to reunite him with his owner proved unsuccessful.

The Sanctuary found the unexpected guest in its medical pens in one of the barns on Saturday morning (October 15).

The team suspect that the little chicken may have been dumped by its previous owner.

After putting out messages on its social media page asking if anyone had lost him, nobody came forward.

The Sanctuary took care of him during the day and became quite fond of him, giving him the name ‘Cluck Norris’.

Posting on its Facebook page, the Donkey Sanctuary wrote: “We kept him safe overnight, and during Sunday (October 16), he had a wander and found some friends in the car park at the end of the day.

“One of those people that Cluck had made friends with said that he might be able to offer him a home.”

Cluck Norris is now at his new home, and the Sanctuary team would like to wish him all the best and are so glad that he had a happy ending.

He should consider himself very clucky indeed.
