WIGHTLINK has announced a series of cancellations on its Yarmouth to Lymington route for tomorrow (Tuesday) morning.

The cross-Solent ferry operator said it was due to an ongoing technical issue.

The following ferries will not run:

From Lymington: 6.15am, 8.40am, 10.45am sailings.

From Yarmouth: 7.30am, 9.45am, 11.45am sailings.

A spokesperson said: "We apologise for the inconvenience this action will cause."

MP Bob Seely said in the House of Commons recently that he wanted to see guaranteed levels of service across The Solent, to ensure minimum services due to Islanders having no alternatives.
