WORK to fix a cracked pipe at a popular Isle of Wight swimming centre is now complete. 

Medina Leisure Centre's small pool has reopened to the public following a technical issue with the pool pumps.

"Thank you for your patience while we worked to fix the cracked pipe in the small swimming pool at Medina," said a spokesperson for the centre.

"We are happy to announce our work is now complete and the small pool is open."

On Thursday, the small pool was losing water and had to close. 

Swimming lessons went ahead in the main pool instead.

Following the fix, the centre's first casual swim session is available today (Saturday).
