A MAN who crashed into a wall in Newchurch while double the drink-drive limit has been banned from driving

Nigel Brayley, from Clarence Road in Wroxall, was disqualified from driving for two years when he appeared at Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (November 15).

On July 16, the 41-year-old collided with a wall along Canteen Road, before continuing up the road and coming to rest against a hedge.

At the roadside, he gave a breath test reading which was more than double the legal drink-drive limit and failed to provide another sample when he was taken into custody.

Brayley was charged with failing to provide a specimen and was found guilty of the offence.
In addition to the driving ban, he was also ordered to pay a £1,300 fine and £650 costs.
