THE Isle of Wight Christmas Drive-in Cinema, in aid of the Wessex Cancer Trust, returns on the first weekend of December, this time at The Needles Landmark Attraction.
Six films have been picked by the Island community in an online survey, which will be shown on a 9.2 metre by 5.3 metre LED screen.
On Saturday, December 3, The Needles will screen Elf, How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Love Actually.
On Sunday, December 4, Home Alone, Arthur Christmas and The Holiday will feature.
Laura Haytack, Wessex Cancer Trust’s regional fundraising manager, said: “Our drive-in cinema has become a tradition for families on the Island and is a great way to kick off the festive season.
“So, cosy up with your loved ones, watch a classic Christmas film and know that you’re raising money to support Islanders affected by cancer.
“We’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone, and with tickets selling fast. We’re confident it will be another sell-out success.”
Marino Zanti, general manager at The Needles Landmark Attraction, said: “We’re so honoured to be hosting Wessex Cancer Trust’s Christmas Drive-In Cinema this year.
“It’s an amazing charity that does so much good work locally, and we can promise everyone a fantastic evening.”
All the money raised will help Wessex Cancer Trust support Islanders affected by cancer.
