STAFF at an Isle of Wight care home have been helping create great memories for its residents by making this Christmas extra special.

Residents at Old Charlton House Residental Care Home in Cowes missed out on seeing relatives and friends over the past couple of years due to the Covid pandemic.

Clare Williams, who has recently taken over as manager, and the home's new activities coordinator Cheynenne Wyatt, worked hard to make this Christmas one they would not forget.

The Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary visited the Old Charlton House garden from their Wroxall stables, and residents enjoyed meeting and stroking the animals.

A Christmassy atmosphere was created at the home by a snow machine, and Father Christmas visited to deliver presents.

A spokesperson said: “Old Charlton House wishes all the residents, their family and friends and all the staff a very merry Christmas."
