AN ISLE of Wight brewery is looking to expand its team ahead of an exciting home to a new home and the opening of a restaurant, shop and visitor centre.

In the final week of January, Goddard’s Brewery brewed its final beers at the Barnsley Farm site in Ryde.

The popular Island brand has been taking the old insulation off the tanks and moving them to its new site at Branstone Farm, aiming to be brewing again by the end of this month.

After the first stage of regeneration at the site was given the green light in June 2020, permission was granted in 2021 for the facility, 42 affordable houses, and 18 offices to be built on the former Branstone Farm Education Centre as part of a £2.4 million scheme.

Along with its new brewing centre, Goddard’s will also be opening a new restaurant, shop and visitor’s centre at the site, with multiple job opportunities available as the brewery seeks to expand its team.

Goddard’s is seeking, in full and part-time roles, an office administrator, workers in the brewery shop and production, maintenance staff and drivers, kitchen, bar and restaurant staff, as well as cleaners.
