ISLE of Wight trains have been cancelled until tomorrow (Thursday, April 13) amid an electricity supply problem.

South Western Railway (SWR) previously said that Island Line was facing 'major disruption' due to the severe weather conditions.

Island Line train services running between Ryde Esplanade and Shanklin stations have been suspended.

A spokesperson from SWR said the disruption 'is expected until the end of the day.'

Train tickets will be accepted, at no extra cost, on Southern Vectis' routes two and three.

The spokesperson continued: "We are very sorry for any delay that this may cause to your journey."
