An Isle of Wight hotel where celebrities like to stay, has been named as one of the best in the country by TripAdvisor.
Previous guests to the clifftop Haven Hall Hotel in Shanklin have included Colin Firth and Peter Crouch, during the Isle of Wight Festival.
TripAdvisor has released its annual Traveller’s Choice of the Best of the Best Hotels, and named Haven Hall Hotel in second place among the small UK hotels.
The hotel is run by a small team led by owners David and Arielle Barrett.
They gave it a multi-million pound renovation in 2017 and it now regularly features in magazine articles as must-visit destination.
With 14 en-suite rooms, the luxury boutique hotel commands unrivalled views across the award-winning Sandown Bay, and boasts a swimming pool, grass tennis court and croquet lawn and has a helipad in the two-acre grounds, which have won awards for the Best Hotel Garden on the Isle of Wight.
Owners David And Arielle said: "The award is really a reflection of the quality of the excellent staff who work with us as part of the family team running our hotel."
Will Myles, managing director at Visit Isle of Wight, said: "We are very proud that Haven Hall Hotel has won this prestigious award, based on customer reviews on TripAdvisor.
"The Isle of Wight consistently shows up as a favourite destination for many visitors, with so much on offer from rolling countryside, award-winning beaches and attractions - and with businesses such as David and Arielle’s providing such a good quality of service, it is easy to see why!"
The Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best is awarded to hotels with a high volume of above-and-beyond reviews and opinions from their community over a 12-month period.
