Isle of Wight Festival 2023 Friday night headliners Pulp had to wait patiently for a GCSE exam to be completed before completing their soundcheck yesterday morning (Friday, June 16).
Pulp, led by frontman Jarvis Cocker, put on a great show for the Festival crowd on the Main Stage last night.
The 90s band got the crowd jumping early doors with Disco 2000 then played a cool set to please both fans and newcomers alike, right through to Common People for the finale.
Earlier in the day, the band were at Medina College, just yards away from the Festival site, for their soundcheck.
But first, Pulp had to wait patiently until the morning exam had been completed and were on the clock to be finished up before the afternoon exams.

A College spokesperson told the County Press: “We have an ongoing agreement with the Festival about exams.
“We liaise very closely with each other on this, so students do not have any noise during their exams.”
The school said there is no contact between the College and the artists.
