Thousands immersed themselves in Britain’s heyday for a memorable and nostalgic day out in Havenstreet.

With the sounds of Amanda Jane, entertainment from ‘Bud Flanagan’ aka Nick Golden and dancing by ‘Now That’s Jive’, visitors were transported back more than 70 years ago.

Many arrived at The 1940s Experience looking the part by dressing up in clothes of the time.

Others decided to pick up something vintage at the event’s many pop-up shops.

Some visitors were put through their paces by Sergeant Marmite, while others admired the array of military vehicles, including an authentic Spitfire.

Running throughout the weekend was the Isle of Wight Steam Railway’s locomotives, taking guests through the Island’s countryside onboard the railway’s Edwardian and Victorian carriages.
