WHEN you are out and about around the Isle of Wight this coming week, be sure to know which roadworks to avoid.

Thanks to Island Roads, we have provided a handy selection of some worth avoiding.

CALBOURNE: Elm Lane will be shut for utility works, between its junctions with Calbourne and Porchfield Footpath 10 and Freshwater Road, from 8am on Monday, until 4pm on Wednesday.

NEWCHURCH: Hollowood Road will be shut for utility works, along its entire length, from 8am on Monday until 4pm on Wednesday.
Also, Harbors Lake Lane will be closed for utility works, along its entire length, from 8am on Thursday, until 4pm on Thursday, July 27.

TOTLAND: Trevanions Way will be shut for utility works, along its entire length, from 8am on Thursday until 4pm on Thursday, July 20.

VENTNOR: Marlborough Road will be shut for utility works, along its entire length, from 8am on Monday, until 5pm on Friday, July 14.

RYDE: The Strand will be shut for carriageway repair works, between its junctions with West Hill Road and Cornwall Street, from 9.30am until 3.30pm today (Friday).

SHANKLIN: Paddock Road will be shut for carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Florence Road and Salem Road, between 8am and 4pm daily, from Monday until Wednesday.

WOOTTON: Footways will be shut for carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Holford Way and Norman Way, between 8am and 4pm daily, from Monday until Wednesday.

NEWPORT: Alderbury Road will be shut for carriageway repair works, along its entire length, between 8am and 4pm daily, from Monday until Wednesday.

BINSTEAD: Newnham Road will be shut for lining works along its entire length, at some point between 7.30pm and 6am daily, from Monday until Wednesday.
Also, the same road will be closed for carriageway repair works, along its entire length, between 9.30am and 3.30pm daily, from Monday until Wednesday.

BEMBRIDGE: Howgate Road will be shut for carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Hillway Road and Nansen Close, between 9.30am and 3.30pm daily, on Thursday and Friday, July 14.
