Head-on collision near Yarmouth sees traffic delays on main West Wight road (Image: Google Maps)
There are significant delays on a main West Wight road this afternoon (Saturday, July 8) following a head-on collision on the outskirts of Yarmouth.
Police were called at 12.06pm to a report of a two-car collision on Yarmouth Road.
The crash happened between Hill Place Lane and The Avenue, and involves a Mini Clubman and a Honda CRV 4x4.
A Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary spokesperson confirmed minor injuries were reported.
Due to traffic disruption, it is advised to avoid the area if you can.
UPDATE: The road has since been cleared and traffic has returned to normal.
